someone asked me a question to a post - Where can we learn about stock market? so here we go…
We learn by doing it ourselves. It it the same way, we learned cricket or swimming or anything else, we have to do it. You should not be afraid of losing money and/or time, In fact, best way to learn anything is when you fail at that thing, multiple times. Failure is the best teacher. Short answer is: “Internet”. You can learn everything in internet. You just have to know what are the right questions to ask. You can use Google for answers, you can use Meta AI in whatsapp…You can use ChatGPT for answers….So what are the questions to ask…..
- What is money?
- Where is the money?
- What is USA GDP?
- What is GDP?
- How much money is in the stock market?
- How much money in in real estate?
- What is the historic return in stock market vs real estate?
- Apart from stock market and real estate what are the other means to generate additional income?
- What is Profit?
- What is Business?
- What are different type of Business?
- What is the difference between Trading vs Investing?
- What are the indexes in stock market?
- How many stocks in Dow Jones Indicator?
- What is day trading?
- What is swing trading?
- What is position size in a trade?
- What is risk analysis in trading?
- What is Fed’s balance sheet?
- How does interest rate impact stock market?
- What is Bonds and how are they different from stocks?
- What is “Yield Curve”?
- What is Dividend?
- What does it mean by cyclical stocks?
- What does it mean by blue chip stocks?
- What is moving averages in stock chart?
- What is PE Ratio in stocks?
- What are some of the websites to learn about historic balance sheet of a given stock?
- What is RSI indicator in a stock?
- What is commodity trading?
I can go on and list probably 1000 questions…but that is not the point …You are not going to learn everything on day 1. It is a process. It is a journey. You will figure it out as and when you spend more time in it. It is also not a rocket science. Search a name called, “Ronald Reed”…if a janitor can learn and make millions, you are far more talented than that. Focus on learning something new every day. Use Internet. Use friends - to ask right questions. Watch CNBC during breakfast, lunch time or Bloomberg. Listen to Radio of Bloomberg when you are travelling to work (Its available for free on AM station). Get “EDUCATED” and not for some degree, but for your own benefit. But remember one thing, after knowing million things about financial world and in general on how world operates, you will find that there are billion things you dont know (that is where I am).
